Dean Tozer Senior Vice President

Dean Tozer is Senior Vice President at Advanced BioHealing, Inc. (ABH). In this role he oversees marketing, corporate development, reimbursement, government affairs, product development, various regulatory functions and international expansion. Mr. Tozer joined ABH in March 2006 as Vice President of Marketing & Corporate Development. Prior to joining the Company, Mr. Tozer was a consultant to the biopharmaceutical industry assisting start-up organizations in developing commercial strategies for both pharmaceutical products and biomedical devices. Preceding his consulting career, he spent 10 years in the global pharmaceutical industry, primarily with G.D. Searle (a division of Monsanto) where he had a wide variety of roles in Global Marketing, Sales, Business Redesign, and Accounting and Finance. In addition to his leadership role at ABH, Mr. Tozer serves as an officer and board member for the Alliance for Regenerative Medicine, a Washington, DC-based organization whose mission is to educate policy makers about the potential of regenerative medicine and to advocate for public policies to facilitate advances in the field. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Saint Mary's University in Halifax, Canada.

Keith O'Briant Senior Vice President, North American Sales

Keith O'Briant is the Senior Vice President of North American Sales at Advanced BioHealing, Inc. (ABH). In this position, he is responsible for building the company's world class sales organization within the North American market. In just over three years, Mr. O'Briant has grown the sales force to over 100 people strong divided into eight regional Regenerative Medicine teams, a Special Markets division, and a National Account team. Mr. O'Briant joined the Company in October 2006 as Vice President of Sales, to which he brought over 17 years of healthcare sales experience. Prior to joining ABH, Mr. O'Briant held a variety of sales-related leadership roles with Pfizer, Inc. Most recently, he served as a Sales Director leading a group of 10 district managers and more than 100 sales representatives. Mr. O'Briant is a natural leader with a proven record of sales success and is known throughout the industry for his ability to develop exceptional sales organizations, flawless execution of the strategic plan, and generate momentum for new product launches. Mr. O'Briant holds a B.A. in Business from the University of Louisiana.

Kathy McGee Vice President & General Manager

Kathy McGee is Vice President and General Manager at Advanced BioHealing, Inc. (ABH). She joined the Company in May 2006 as Vice President of Operations when ABH purchased global rights to manufacture Dermagraft and TransCyte from Smith & Nephew Wound Management LLC. Ms. McGee served for four years as Director of Manufacturing Operations at Smith & Nephew, and was instrumental in renovating and revalidating the original 70,000 square-foot manufacturing facility in La Jolla, California on behalf of ABH. Prior to joining Smith & Nephew, Ms. McGee began her career at Advanced Tissue Sciences, where she held numerous positions in Manufacturing and Quality Control in the diagnostic test kits business. In 1995, she transitioned to the therapeutic Manufacturing area of the business, where she ultimately held the position as Director of Manufacturing. Ms. McGee has been involved in the biotechnology industry, with a strong focus on tissue engineered medical devices, since 1992. She holds an M.A. in Management from Webster University and a B.S. and Higher Diploma in Education from University College, Galway (Ireland).

Jan Lessem, MD, Ph.D Vice President & Chief Medical Officer

Jan Lessem, M.D., Ph.D., joined Advanced BioHealing, Inc. (ABH) in November 2008 as Vice President and Chief Medical Officer. In this position, he is responsible for all clinical trials within ABH, and is currently running an international randomized controlled trial in venous leg ulcer with Dermagraft. Dr. Lessem has held several positions within the pharmaceutical industry with varying degrees of responsibility. He most recently served as C.M.O. and Executive Vice President at CombinatoRx, a biopharmaceutical company focused on the discovery and development of combination drugs, where before retiring in February 2007, he introduced seven programs into the clinic. Previously, Dr. Lessem was C.M.O. and Executive Vice President at Orapharma before it was acquired by Johnson & Johnson in February 2003, and was responsible for the clinical development and approval of the lead compound Arrestin. Prior to joining Orapharma in 1998, Dr. Lessem spent three years as Medical Director at Takeda America Research and Development Center and was responsible for the clinical development of Pioglitazone in Diabetes. Prior to that, he was Director of Clinical Cardiovascular Research at Merck. Before embarking on his career in the pharmaceutical industry, Dr. Lessem spent 10 years in academia in Sweden. He is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology and the American College of Rheumatology and is board certified in Cardiology in Sweden, and was an Associate Professor of Cardiology and Geriatrics. He has published close to 200 papers. Dr. Lessem holds an M.D. and a Ph.D. from the University of Lund in Sweden.

Charles Hart, Ph.D Vice President & Chief Scientific Officer

Charles E. Hart, Ph.D., joined Advanced BioHealing, Inc. in February 2009 as Chief Scientific Officer. In this role, Dr. Hart is responsible for directing a science-driven strategic plan to expand the clinical use of Dermagraft into new therapeutic areas with a focus toward its use in soft tissue applications related to tendon and ligament injuries. Dr. Hart previously served as Chief Scientific Officer and Vice President at BioMimetic Therapeutics, a company focused on the development of PDGF-based protein/device combination products for the treatment of musculoskeletal injuries. Prior to joining BioMimetic in January 2004, he spent 21 years at ZymoGenetics, Inc., a biotechnology company focused on therapeutic proteins, where he held a variety of positions, including Senior Director of Corporate Communications and Investor Relations, Senior Director of Business Development, and Director of Protein Biochemistry. Over his career, Dr. Hart's research has focused on the discovery and development of protein therapeutics, several of which are on the market today. He is the author of over 55 scientific publications and holds over 30 US patents. Dr. Hart received his Ph.D. from the University of Washington, his M.S. from Oregon State University and his B.S. from the University of California at Davis. He currently holds the position of Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Medicine in the Vanderbilt University School of Medicine.

Therésa K. Dixon VP, Government Affairs & Health Economics

Therésa K. Dixon is Vice President of Government Affairs & Health Economics at Advanced BioHealing, Inc., where she is responsible for leading the Company's Government Affairs, Health Policy & Health Economics initiatives. Ms. Dixon joined the Company in January 2007 as Executive Director of Government Affairs & Health Policy. Previously, she was the National Director of Health Economics for Smith & Nephew, a leading developer of advanced medical devices in wound management, endoscopy and orthopedics. Prior to joining Smith & Nephew, she held a Senior Associate position at Covance Health Economics & Outcomes Services (previously Corning Inc.) supporting novel medical devices, pharmaceuticals and biologics placement into the U.S. healthcare payer system and marketplace. Ms. Dixon has worked in the biotechnology industry since 1995. She holds an M.B.A. from the University of Maryland, an M.S. in Health Care Management from Marymount University, and a B.S. from the University of Missouri.
